How Much QuietCar Do I Need?

The amount of QuietCar you need depends on two factors.

• Vehicle type
• Amount of noise and vibration reduction you would like

The chart below is a guideline for much you should apply  (in gallons) to meet your needs:

Where to apply QuietCar:

Good (~3 to 5dB reduction)
Single coat applied at 40 mils (1mm) thick
All metal body surfaces underneath (undercoat)
All 4 Wheel wells, both top and bottom
Engine compartment firewall and sides

Better (~8 to 12dB reduction)
Double coat all surfaces at .5mm to 1mm thickness per layer
ALL surfaces as in “Good”, plus:
The entire inside of the trunk
Remove the engine hood liner and QuietCar the underside of the hood
Remove the inner door (decorative) panels and apply on all metal surfaces inside each door 

Best (~15 to 20dB reduction)
Triple coat all surfaces at .5mm to 1mm thickness per layer
ALL surfaces as in Good and Better
Remove all interior seats, carpets, and interior roof material and apply to all vehicle metal surfaces
